Requesting a Data Import by Uploading Project Data

Overview

The Data Import tool allows system administrators to upload buildings and location data into the Property Insurance Valuation Platform using the Data Import Template.

A user can request your Core System Administrator to import data into your Application by uploading project data.

Note:
If you need access to your platform or are unsure how to proceed with the data import, you may need to contact your Core System Administrator or Kroll Valuation Platform support for assistance.

Navigation

From the Home screen, click the Navigation Menu and select Valuations from the dropdown menu.

From the Get Valuations screen, click the Upload Project Data link.

Uploading Project Data

From the Upload Project Data screen, click a Project Name link.

From the Submit Project Data to Import screen, fill out the following fields:

How many project data files were uploaded?: Enter the number of project data files included in the upload.
How many locations are in this project file?: Enter the number of Locations included in the project file(s).
Project File:
- File: Drag and drop the .csv Kroll Data Upload Template file into the designated area on the Project File field, or select the top proportion of the Project Files field and select a .csv Kroll Data Upload Template file from the connected PC. Please refer to the Filling out the Kroll Data Upload Template article for help filling out the template.
- Web Link: Click the bottom proportion of the Project Files field to add a web link.

Add a Web Link

Instead of adding a Project File, a User can add a web link to a Project to link to Valuation data outside of the system.

Select Click to add a web link to a file on the Project File field.
Enter a name used to display the web link in the Display Name field.
Enter the URL location where the Valuation data is in the URL Link field.
Click the +Add Link button to add the web link to the Project.

Click the Display Name link to access the web link content.

Provide project details: Enter any additional project details in the Provide project details field.
How many buildings are in this project file?: Enter the number of Buildings included in the project file.

Click the Submit Project Data To Import button.
The Project will move to the Project File Attached state and the Administrator will receive a system-generated email indicating that a Data Import requires their attention.
